This Privacy Policy explains how Screen Recorder: Facecam ("the App"), provided by ESA Apps ("we", "us", or "our"), handles information when you use the App.

1. Information you create with the App

The App can record your screen, microphone audio, internal device audio, facecam video, and screenshots when you choose to use those features. These recordings and edited outputs are stored on your device using Android's media storage features.

We do not operate a cloud account or cloud storage service for your recordings. Your recordings are not uploaded to our servers by the App as part of its normal recording, trimming, or compression functions.

You control what appears on your screen while recording. Your recordings may contain personal or sensitive information from other apps, notifications, conversations, or camera/microphone input.

2. Permissions and device access

The App may request or use access that is necessary for features you choose to use, including:

  • Screen capture / MediaProjection: to record your screen.
  • Microphone: to record microphone audio when enabled.
  • Camera: to include facecam video when enabled.
  • Notifications: to show recording controls and completion notifications where required by Android.
  • Media storage: to save and manage recordings, screenshots, trimmed videos, and compressed videos.

The App uses these permissions to provide requested features. You can control permissions through Android system settings.

3. Advertising and third-party services

The App uses Google AdMob to display advertising. Google and its advertising partners may process information such as device identifiers, advertising identifiers, IP address, diagnostic information, ad interactions, and general device or app information in accordance with their own policies and applicable law.

Where required, the App uses Google's User Messaging Platform (UMP) to request or manage advertising consent and privacy choices.

Google may use information collected through its services for purposes such as ad delivery, measurement, fraud prevention, security, and—where permitted and consented to—personalized advertising.

4. Advertising formats

The App may use the following advertising formats:

  • Banner ads in selected areas of the App.
  • Rewarded ads that you explicitly choose to watch in exchange for a clearly described in-app benefit.
  • Occasional interstitial ads at selected natural transition points.

Ads are not intentionally loaded or shown during an active screen recording to reduce interference with recording performance.

5. Data we do not require for core use

The App does not require you to create an account with us to use its core recording features. We do not ask for your name, postal address, or phone number as part of normal app use.

6. Sharing

The App lets you share recordings using Android's share functionality. When you choose to share a file, the destination app or service you select may receive that file and process it under its own privacy policy. We do not control third-party apps or services you choose to share content with.

7. Data retention

Recordings and media files created by the App remain on your device until you delete them, remove them through another app, or your device/storage system removes them. The App may also store local settings and app state necessary for preferences and functionality.

Information processed by Google AdMob or other third-party services is retained according to those providers' policies and your applicable privacy settings.

8. Security

We use reasonable measures in the App's design to limit access to what is needed for its features. However, no software, device, network, or storage system can be guaranteed to be completely secure. You are responsible for protecting your device and recordings from unauthorized access.

9. Children's privacy

The App is not designed to knowingly collect personal information directly from children through an account system operated by us. Advertising and consent behavior may vary by region, age settings, and platform policy. Parents and guardians should supervise device use where appropriate.

10. International users

Third-party advertising and consent providers may process information in countries other than your own. Their processing is governed by their respective privacy terms and applicable legal safeguards.

11. Your choices

You can control certain privacy-related behavior through:

  • Android permission settings.
  • Android advertising/privacy settings where available.
  • The App's privacy options entry when Google UMP indicates that privacy choices are required or available.
  • Deleting recordings and other media stored on your device.

12. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy when the App, applicable law, or third-party services change. The effective date at the top of this page will be updated when changes are published.
