Privacy Policy

Effective date: September 27, 2026

This Privacy Policy explains how Stop the Cat (“the App”) handles information. The App is designed as a casual puzzle game and does not require you to create an account with us.

We do not ask for your name, postal address, phone number, or other directly identifying information in order to play the App.

1. Information processed by the App

The App may store game-related information locally on your device, such as preferences, game progress, statistics, onboarding state, and settings. This information is used to operate the App and improve your gameplay experience.

2. Advertising

The App may display advertisements using Google Mobile Ads (AdMob). Google and its partners may process information such as device identifiers, IP address, ad interactions, approximate location derived from IP address, and other technical information in accordance with their own policies and applicable law.

Where required, the App may use Google’s User Messaging Platform (UMP) to request and manage advertising consent choices. Availability and behavior may depend on your region and device.

3. Rewarded ads

The App may offer optional rewarded advertisements in exchange for an in-game benefit, such as an additional hint. Watching a rewarded ad is optional.

4. Google Play Games

The App may integrate with Google Play Games Services for features such as leaderboards. If you choose to use those features, Google may process your Play Games profile information, leaderboard submissions, identifiers, and related service data under Google’s own privacy terms.

We do not receive your Google account password.

5. Internet access and external content

The App may use an internet connection to load advertising, access Google Play Games features, and retrieve a catalog of other apps and games published by ESA. Network requests may naturally expose technical information such as IP address and device/network metadata to the relevant service provider.

6. Children

Stop the Cat is intended for a general audience and is not specifically directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly ask children to provide personal information directly to us through the App.

7. Data sharing

We do not sell personal information. Information may be processed by third-party service providers needed to operate features of the App, including advertising and Google Play Games services. Those providers process information under their own privacy policies and legal obligations.

8. Data retention

Game preferences and local gameplay data may remain on your device until you reset the App, clear its storage, or uninstall it. Data handled by third-party services is retained according to those services’ own policies.

9. Security

We use reasonable measures appropriate to the nature of the App to reduce unauthorized access or misuse. However, no electronic transmission or storage system can be guaranteed to be completely secure.

10. Your choices

Depending on your device and region, you may be able to manage advertising consent, reset advertising identifiers, control Google Play Games settings, clear App data, or uninstall the App through your device settings.

11. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy when the App or legal requirements change. The effective date above will be updated when a revised policy is published.
